Terms of Use
Frame Reference helps individuals organise visual references for personal study and research. Use it only where you can lawfully enter into these terms, with guardian authorisation where applicable. By confirming the rights statement before processing or downloading, you accept these terms.
Rights and source permission
Only process or download material you own, have permission or a suitable licence to use, or can use under a specific applicable legal exception. Follow attribution, territorial and other licence conditions. Video can involve separate rights in music, performances and other material. Public visibility, attribution, research, personal use and free access do not automatically authorise copying.
Technical support for a source does not establish permission from the source provider or its rights holders. Follow applicable source terms and obtain any required permission. A user confirmation does not replace the operator's own permissions or duties. Source URLs, hashes and metadata establish provenance, not a licence. Image files and videos are preserved as retrieved; this does not certify the highest quality available elsewhere.
Prohibited use
Do not infringe copyright, database rights, privacy or other rights; redistribute material without permission; harvest personal information; or process unlawful, abusive or non-consensual intimate material. Do not bypass DRM, paywalls, login or access controls, evade source-provider blocks, supply platform credentials or tokens, strip rights-management information, or overload or attack services.
Your material and service operation
You retain your rights. You authorise only processing needed for the function you request, within rights you hold. These terms do not grant a marketing or AI-training licence. The operator may restrict sources, remove material under its control, or suspend access for substantiated violations, including repeated infringement. Legal requests and reviews are handled through the reporting contact below. Copies held independently by users or third parties cannot be remotely removed by this service.
Availability, responsibility and changes
You are responsible for your use; the operator remains responsible for its own legal obligations. To the extent law permits, availability and suitability for a particular use are not guaranteed. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, waives mandatory consumer rights or excuses unlawful conduct. Applicable mandatory law determines your rights and available courts. Material updates will be dated and notified appropriately; new data-processing purposes require their own lawful assessment.
Privacy Notice
Contact the operator above for privacy questions and rights requests. This notice covers the Frame Reference tool. When you visit it inside taneltopaasia.com, the surrounding Squarespace website also receives visitor information and may use cookies or other services under that website's own settings and policies.
Files and collection requests
Collected media previews, SHA-256 calculation, selection and selected ZIP creation take place in your browser memory. There is no file upload feature, and the app does not save your collection in browser local storage. Reloading or closing the page releases that in-memory collection; downloaded files remain on your device until you delete them.
If the browser cannot preview a collection in the embedded page, the current page switches to a same-page selection view. The backend temporarily holds the ZIP needed to load that picker for up to five minutes, then deletes it; a service restart may remove it sooner. This temporary archive is not kept as a library.
If you request a supported link collection, the backend receives your submitted URLs, format setting, rights confirmation and terms version. It contacts the source provider and processes the retrieved media in temporary files to prepare your ZIP. Working files are removed after packaging or a handled error, and the ZIP is removed after the response is sent. A process interruption can leave temporary files until the service instance is replaced or the operator cleans them up. The tool does not maintain a public media catalogue or an account library.
Requested processing serves the function you ask for; contract necessity is used where applicable. Identifiable people in third-party media require a separate lawful basis. Do not submit sensitive or children's personal information without an appropriate lawful arrangement.
For Instagram browser-direct downloads, the backend retrieves public post metadata only. Your browser connects directly to Instagram’s media servers, which receive your IP address and connection information. Images and complete videos are assembled into a ZIP on your device; these media bytes are not transferred through Render. Source access restrictions still apply.
Providers, diagnostics and retention
The frontend and backend are hosted on Render. Render handles connection and operational information, which may include IP addresses and server logs, under the hosting arrangement. Render's privacy information describes its own processing. The current backend is hosted in Render's Ohio region in the United States; the static frontend uses global delivery.
The application records failed collections with a report ID, source host, counts and generic failure categories. It does not deliberately put submitted URL paths, query strings, media bytes or captions in these failure reports. IP-based request counters are kept in worker memory and removed during later requests after their one-minute window. Diagnostics support service reliability and abuse prevention based on legitimate interests, subject to applicable rights. Hosting logs and any correspondence have separate retention and transfer arrangements that can be requested from the operator.
Supported source providers receive requests needed to retrieve the media. When the operator enables Pinterest, board requests use Pinterest's official API with the operator's own authorization: the submitted board URL is used to find that board in the operator's account and request its listed Pins, and the returned image files are then retrieved from Pinterest's image host. The tool does not visit Pinterest pages or links attached to Pins, and visitors never sign in to Pinterest. This release does not use Apify or a paid scraping provider. The ZIP library is served with the app, rather than loaded from a separate JavaScript CDN. The app itself does not add advertising or analytics trackers.
Your choices and rights
You can choose not to submit a collection request. Contact the operator to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection where applicable. If consent is used for any optional processing, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We handle requests within applicable deadlines and may seek proportionate identity verification. The app does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. You may complain to your competent supervisory authority; for Estonia, see Andmekaitse Inspektsioon.
Reports and correspondence contain the contact details and evidence you provide and may be handled through the operator's email provider. Send only relevant information. The operator may retain narrowly necessary records for legal obligations or claims. The operator cannot delete files independently held by you, another provider or a third party.
Copyright and illegal content reports
Email taneltopaasia@gmail.com with the subject “Frame Reference rights report”. This channel also accepts privacy and other illegal-content concerns.
- Identify the exact Frame Reference location or reference involved, and the source URL if known.
- Explain the alleged illegality. For copyright, identify the work and your ownership or authority to act.
- Provide your name and email, subject to applicable legal exceptions allowing omission.
- Confirm that you believe in good faith that the information and allegations are accurate and complete.
- Include relevant evidence. Do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
We assess reports diligently and impartially, acknowledge electronic reports without undue delay where required, and may seek clarification. Where appropriate, we restrict content, sources or access under our control and explain the decision and review options to affected parties, subject to legal and safety limits.
Request review at the same email with the decision reference and your reasons, including relevant permission or licence evidence. Applicable statutory procedures and deadlines remain available. Repeated substantiated infringement may lead to restrictions where service access can be identified. This policy does not claim registered DMCA-agent status or automatic safe-harbour protection. For material on unrelated websites, contact that provider as well.
